Abstract

The study used a mixed method, combining quantitative data from student test scores and participation surveys with qualitative insights from interviews with educators and students, to explore the impact of digital learning tools on STEM education outcomes in Asian and European classrooms, focusing on their effectiveness in enhancing student engagement and academic performance. The findings reveal that the integration of digital tools significantly improves both engagement and learning outcomes. Specifically, students demonstrated a over 4.3% increase in test scores across various STEM subjects, and engagement levels rose by over 26%. However, the study also finds that the effective implementation of digital learning tools faces the challenges of regional differences in access to digital infrastructure and the lack of continuous teacher training and technical support.
