Editorial Independence
Editorial Independence
The Journal of International Students (JIS) upholds full editorial independence and is committed to ensuring that all editorial decisions are made solely on the basis of scholarly merit.
The Executive Editor and editorial team have complete authority over:
- Manuscript acceptance or rejection
- Editorial content and publication timing
Editorial decisions are based on:
- Academic quality and originality
- Methodological rigor
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
These decisions are not influenced by:
- Article processing charges (APCs)
- Sponsorships, grants, or funding sources
- Institutional affiliations or external pressures
The publisher does not interfere with editorial decision-making. All submissions undergo a fair, unbiased, and confidential peer-review process.
Any conflicts of interest involving editors, reviewers, or authors must be disclosed and appropriately managed to maintain the integrity of the publication process.
