Vol. 15 No. 12 (2025) of the Journal of International Students presents a diverse collection of scholarship examining international student mobility, intercultural engagement, teaching innovation, and global higher education challenges. This issue highlights experiences and perspectives across multiple regions, offering both empirical and conceptual insights into how students, teachers, and institutions navigate an increasingly interconnected world.

Articles in this volume explore Emirati and expatriate instructors’ views on educational mistakes, the motivations and challenges of Afghan immigrant students in Iran, and the evolving preferences shaping international education in Kyrgyzstan. Other contributions examine the outcomes of mobility grants in Spain, the role of curiosity in intercultural learning, and the influence of residence hall relationships on Chinese international students’ sense of belonging. Additional studies address intergenerational learning for global readiness, technology-enhanced professional development for English teachers in South Asia, intimate partner violence among international students in the United States, and English-language communication barriers for international scholars and professionals in Brazil.

This volume brings together 24 authors (14 professors; 10 students) representing 18 institutions across 10 countries, reflecting the journal’s continuing commitment to advancing high-quality global research on international student experiences.
