2026-03-06

The Journal of Interdisciplinary Studies in Education (JISE) invites scholars, researchers, and practitioners from around the world to submit original manuscripts that examine education within broader technological, cultural, policy, health, and global contexts. As an interdisciplinary journal positioned at the intersection of education and cultural studies, JISE publishes high-quality research that advances understanding of how education interacts with evolving social systems, scientific innovation, governance structures, and human development.

Submissions are invited in the following areas:

Education, Technology, and Scientific Innovation

Studies may examine how technological advancement reshapes teaching, learning environments, access to knowledge, and institutional governance.

Education, Society, and Cultural Contexts
Scholarship investigating how education interacts with culture, identity, language, media, civic participation, and social institutions. This area encourages research that situates education within broader cultural and societal dynamics and examines how communities, identities, and social structures shape educational experiences.

Education, Policy, and Economic Systems
Studies addressing the relationship between education and public policy, legal frameworks, workforce development, entrepreneurship, and economic systems. Submissions may analyze institutional governance, policy reforms, educational leadership, and the economic implications of education.

Education, Health, and Human Development
Research focusing on mental health, neurodiversity, inclusive education, global health challenges, sports and physical education, and holistic student development. This section highlights the role of education in promoting well-being, lifelong learning, and human flourishing.

International/Global Aspects of Higher Education
Research examining the global dimensions of higher education, including international collaboration, transnational education, global student mobility, cross-cultural learning, and the cultural and institutional dynamics shaping international academic engagement.

JISE particularly encourages interdisciplinary and comparative research that connects education with broader social, technological, cultural, and global developments. Contributions from diverse geographic regions and scholarly traditions are welcome.
